01When does Al Manakeesh open in Minnesota?
Soon. The opening date is not public yet. Join the newsletter and you will hear it first, before it goes anywhere else.
02Where will it be?
In the Twin Cities metro, Minnesota. The exact address is announced on this site and on Instagram at @almanakeesh.mn.
03What is manakeesh?
Manakeesh (مناقيش) is the plural of man'ousheh: a round of fresh dough, baked in a hot oven and topped simply with za'atar and olive oil, cheese, labneh, egg or meat. In Palestine it is part of everyday life, shared with family in the morning and with friends through the day.
04Is the food halal?
Yes. Al Manakeesh is halal-certified, and halal is written into the ingredients themselves: halal turkey, halal roast beef, halal ground beef.
05What else is on the menu?
Ten-inch manakeesh, eight-inch sesame kaak made into sandwiches, sfeha, sweets like knafa and baklava, and a full coffee bar with lattes, matcha and house refreshers. The Minnesota menu and its prices are announced before the doors open.
06Is this the same Al Manakeesh as in Illinois?
Yes. Al Manakeesh, Taste of Palestine, bakes in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and New Jersey. The Minnesota location brings the same manakeesh, the same oven and the same welcome to the Twin Cities.
07Are you hiring?
Yes. We are building the opening team now: front counter, coffee bar, baker and oven, prep, shift leads and cleaning. Full and part time. Apply on the careers page in about two minutes.
